PCU / Stepdown

Progressive Care / Step-Down Unit — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This night shift opportunity places you on a combined step-down and med-surg unit caring for a mixed-acuity patient population. The unit manages patients requiring trach care, chest tube management, cardiac drips, wound dressing changes, and stable ventilated patients — making it an excellent fit for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, clinically demanding environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period
• Contract: 13 weeks

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior step-down or progressive care experience
• Familiarity with electronic health records

Float Expectations

• May float to other med-surg and progressive care units within the facility
