Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greenville, SC | 13-Week Contract

This surgical specialty unit focuses on Vascular and Urology patient populations, with overflow from General Surgery, Women's Specialty, and Medicine. Patients arrive from the PACU, ICU transfers, and the ED, with an average length of stay of 1–2 days.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights | 3×12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required; frequency may vary based on unit need
• Float to other qualified units/campuses may be required based on census

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage 5–6 non-monitored med-surgical patients per shift
• Dressing changes, wound vac management, and drain care
• Skills utilized include: central line and PICC line management, port access, PCA, heparin protocols, continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis management, blood product administration, feeding tube care, and wound/wound vac care

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; MS/Tele background required for float eligibility
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam as part of pre-start requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience with an electronic medical records system
• Urology and/or Vascular nursing experience preferred

Orientation & Modules

• Orientation held every Monday; 24-hour orientation period
• Pre-start modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
