Night Shift L&D/Mother Baby Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour days per week
- 6 weekend shifts over 12 weeks
- On-call required
- Start date: ASAP
About the Role
You'll provide care for high-risk obstetric patients in labor and delivery, with expertise in magnesium sulfate postpartum management, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and vaginal and cesarean deliveries. The unit manages neonates, adolescents, and adult patients across approximately 16 daily census with 20 rooms.
Floating & Competency
You'll rotate within the maternal-child health division based on competency:
- L&D for recovery support
- NICU for directed assistance with feeding, soothing, and care tasks
Floats are mandatory; inability to float may result in loss of guaranteed hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (compact license required at submission)
- Minimum 3 years experience (first-timers accepted)
- BLS and NRP certifications
- At least 1 year high-risk obstetric experience
- LA Fire Card

- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during application
