Night Shift RN – High-Acuity Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Unit
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 18:45 – 07:15
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week contract
- Float requirement within similar units
The Unit
Staffing & Support
An Assistant Nurse Manager, team lead, and two respiratory therapists are on shift daily. You'll have access to a vascular access team, admission/discharge nurse, rapid response team, code team, and behavioral health services.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience; prior travel nursing required
- Current RN license (NC or Compact license; pending license acceptable at submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Strong IV placement, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management skills
- Must pass EKG testing before start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Preferred
- NIHSS certification
- Ventilator experience
Additional
- 24-hour unit orientation
- Scrubs: white or navy blue (not provided)
- Up to 7 days pre-approved RTO; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
