Registered Nurse

House Supervisor — Night Shift | Clifton Springs, NY

Contract: 8 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Start Date: December 2, 2026

This role places you in charge of facility-wide nursing operations during overnight and weekend hours, functioning as the senior clinical leader on site when no administrative leadership is present. You'll oversee care delivery across multiple units — including med/surg, surgical, behavioral health, the OR, and the ED — serving an adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise nursing care across all inpatient units organizationally
• Manage staffing, centralized scheduling, and bed/facility diversion decisions
• Lead rapid response, code management, and crisis or de-escalation situations
• Oversee narcotic diversion monitoring and incident reporting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, social services, radiology, and physical therapy
• Support staff through coaching, counseling, and performance standards

Schedule & Coverage:

• Every other weekend required
• Float across units as needed
• One pre-approved time-off request honored per contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years RN experience; at least 1 year as a house supervisor
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in electronic health records is a hard requirement
• Community hospital experience preferred
