Resource Pool RN – Telemetry/Med-Surg | Night Shift | Rancho Mirage, CA

This is a float pool position supporting multiple inpatient units (excluding L&D, ED, and Special Procedures). The role requires a clinically versatile RN comfortable managing high-acuity adult and geriatric patients across medical-surgical and telemetry settings.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period)
• Travelers may be called off or placed on call once per pay period; 60-minute callback required if on call

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks | Start: November 30, 2026
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility (no local travelers)

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Adult and geriatric patients with complex, multiple comorbidities
• Diagnoses include cardiovascular disease, DM, COPD, hepatic conditions, oncology, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, neuro, and orthopedic conditions
• Must be proficient in real-time dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Cardiac drip management required (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin); titration highly preferred
• Additional skills: central line care, PICC management, heparin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, wound vac, IV insulin protocols, ABG interpretation

Required Certifications & Experience

• BLS (required); ACLS (strongly preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry/MS-Tele RN experience
• Proven travel nursing history required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Teaching hospital experience highly preferred
• Experience in 3 of 5 listed cardiac drips required

Preferred Certifications: PCCN, OCN
