Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the operating room. This 13-week contract runs 06:30–20:00, with multiple shift options available. Start date: September 21, 2026.

Clinical Scope

You will provide routine and complex nursing care in an operating room setting, utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You'll manage patient care with attention to psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Responsibilities include medication administration and treatment delivery, monitoring for efficacy and side effects, accurate documentation of patient history and care provided, and patient and family education.

You'll work collaboratively, making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers to manage the clinical environment effectively.

Requirements

• RN License in Texas or compact state (required)
• BLS Certification (AHA) (required)
• 1+ year experience in nursing or related specialty (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
