Labor and Delivery – Night Shift

Position Overview

Join the labor and delivery team for a 6-week rapid response assignment. You'll work nights (19:00–07:00) on a busy unit managing active labor, delivery, and postpartum couplet care.

The Role

This is a fast-paced environment where you'll care for laboring patients, assist with deliveries, manage postpartum recovery, and provide newborn care. You'll work with a skilled team in a unit that handles labor management, medication titration, fetal monitoring, cervical exams, and emergency situations like McRoberts maneuver.

You'll Float To

Postpartum couplet care units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (all must be in your submission packet)
• Comfort with couplet care (mother and baby together)

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years in labor and delivery
• Transition nurse or baby-catching skills

Nurses who thrive in organized chaos, manage multiple patients confidently, and bring flexibility and clinical judgment to a dynamic unit. Weekends and occasional on-call coverage as needed to support staffing.
