Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Corpus Christi, TX

This 13-week contract places you in an active Emergency Department on a night shift schedule (19:00–07:00), with 36 guaranteed hours per week. The ED manages a full acuity range — ESI 1 through 5 — with a particular focus on timely stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma care. The unit is actively elevating its trauma capabilities and patient satisfaction benchmarks.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Mandatory shift huddle at 7:00 PM (unless providing critical care at that time)
• 36 guaranteed hours/week

Clinical Scope

• Patient population: ESI 4 & 5 primary, up to ESI 1
• Procedures: assessment and documentation, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV placement, urine collection, and lab draws
• EMTALA training required

Required Qualifications

• Level II or Level III trauma experience
• Active certifications: TNCC and either ENPC or PALS, plus ACLS and BLS
• Demonstrated compassion, clinical urgency, and team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• CEN or TCRN certification
• CPI certification
• 2+ years of emergency department experience

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs preferred
• Sunday team jerseys welcome on game days
