Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac imaging procedures under physician direction. You will create technically excellent exams for cardiologist and radiologist interpretation, working independently to ensure quality and accuracy.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and technical skill
- Assist physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures
- Review order requisitions for accuracy and special requests
- Complete thorough documentation and charge posting for all exams
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff
- Maintain current state licensure and credentials
Schedule & On-Call
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 × 8 hours per week
- Scheduled on-call rotation (approximately every 5th or 6th week, 1 week duration)
- One hospital holiday annually (rotates yearly)
- On-call and holidays may be swapped with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval
Requirements
- Degree or certificate from an accredited sonography program
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac ultrasound
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- New Hampshire state license
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift
