Cardiovascular/Surgical ICU — Travel RN | Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

This 13-week contract places you in a high-acuity cardiovascular and surgical ICU caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and multisystem conditions. First-time travelers are welcome.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3×12s
• 6 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) per 13-week contract
• Float to other campuses may be required as needed

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

The unit manages a broad cardiovascular and surgical critical care census, including MI, CHF, open-heart surgery (direct OR admits), AAA and vascular surgery, post-cardiac cath intervention, LVAD, respiratory failure, sepsis, and ECMO patients.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• ECMO, IABP, and Impella management — required
• CVVHD/CRRT — required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Continuous IV sedation; titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
• Ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation
• Blood product administration, IV insulin protocols

Preferred Experience

• SICU background
• Sheath removal, TAVR/TAVI
• Chronic/acute renal failure management

Certifications Required

• BLS and ACLS

Compliance Requirements

• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Electronic health record experience required
• EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
