Psychiatric Nursing Position
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for a psychiatric unit in Wichita. This is a 13-week contract position offering stable, predictable scheduling ideal for travel professionals.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 4 days per week (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required
- No call
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Unit Details
You'll provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting. Float assignments to similar units on the same campus or other Wichita-area locations may occur.
Requirements
- Active RN license (current Nursys verification)
- BLS/ACLS or equivalent
- Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding assessments, including EKG competency and core competency evaluations
What to Expect
Standard onboarding includes immunization verification (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza), TB screening, drug screening, background check, and skills validation. You'll use the facility's electronic health record system during your assignment.
