Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract
About the Role
The facility seeks an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week contract. You'll care for patients transitioning from acute care, managing post-operative recovery, monitoring vital changes, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. This role offers excellent clinical experience in a structured, supportive environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will make efforts to honor your preference
- Commitment to work at least every other holiday required
- Potential to float to related units caring for the same patient population
Requirements
- 12 months permanent experience in stepdown nursing (or related specialty)
- Active permanent Ohio license or Compact State license in hand at submission
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Manager/supervisor reference required from past 12 months
- Willingness to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (passing scores required)
- Successful background check and fingerprinting (within 48 hours of contract signing)
