Medical-Surgical Nurse | Nights | Wichita, KS
Contract: 13 weeks | Start Date: November 15, 2026
Shift: 4 x 12 Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
This Medical-Surgical nursing position is a great fit for an experienced nurse comfortable managing a diverse adult patient population across varying acuity levels. The unit provides well-rounded acute care experience in a busy inpatient setting.
Schedule & Unit Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligations
- Float requirement: Candidates must be prepared to float to like units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area
- Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required for submission)
- License/Certificate Verification required
Onboarding Requirements
- EKG exam and core competency assessment
- Skills checklist (required at submission)
- Two professional references required at submission
- Standard immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
- Fit test, health statement, and 11-panel drug screen
- Criminal background check and employment verification
