About the Role

Join a busy surgical suite managing high-acuity cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. You'll provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support for procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, lung resection, VATS, esophageal repair, aortic aneurysm repair, vascular interventions, and dialysis access management.

Your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining sterile fields and specialized instrumentation
• Coordinating with perfusion during cardiopulmonary bypass setup
• Monitoring hemodynamics and patient status throughout complex procedures
• Performing accurate counts and managing emergency equipment
• Collaborating with cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesia, and perfusion teams
• Documenting procedural details per facility standards

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 1+ years CVOR experience required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac/thoracic procedures, instrumentation, and cardiopulmonary bypass
• No new travelers or new clinicians—we need experienced OR nurses with proven travel experience
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Call & Schedule

• Mandatory call: one night per week + one weekend per month
• 30-minute response time (on-call housing available)
• May float within other OR services as needed
• Ceil blue scrubs provided
• One-week onboarding included
