Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate and skilled nurse for its PCU stepdown unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients transitioning from higher acuity levels while maintaining close monitoring and clinical support.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shifts
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Call: No call required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 1, 2026
Clinical Scope
You'll work with step-down patients requiring ongoing monitoring and intervention. Your responsibilities include direct patient care, assessment, medication administration, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team to support safe transitions in patient acuity.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required at submission)
- EKG certification
- ACLS certification
- Standard immunizations and health screening (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza)
- Background check and employment verification
- Two professional references
