Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join its blood bank team. This is a 13-week contract position with an immediate start date.

Schedule & Hours

• 4 × 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
• 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• On-call expectations included

Clinical Scope

You'll perform blood bank testing and transfusion services for both adult and neonatal patients. Duties include specimen processing, compatibility testing, and analyzer operation. Work focuses on safe blood product preparation and distribution in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification
• Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) license
• Proficiency with blood bank information systems
• Experience with automated blood bank analyzers and gel/tube testing methodologies
