Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its medical/surgical telemetry unit. This role offers rotating 3x12-hour shifts (day: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, night: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM). You may float to other units to care for similar patient populations as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a medical/surgical telemetry unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to patient changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Complete required competency assessments during orientation
Requirements
- Current RN license (Ohio or compact state)
- Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical/surgical nursing or telemetry
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Willingness to work at least every other holiday
- Must be available for rotating day/night shifts; schedule flexibility may be required to meet operational needs
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 20, 2026
- Shift schedule: Rotating 3x12 hours
- You will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation; passing scores are required
What to Expect
Orientation will include facility-specific modules (approximately 6–15 hours). All start dates, scheduling details, and shift preferences must be confirmed at time of submission and cannot be changed after an offer is made.
