Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care on a med/surg telemetry unit, with potential to float to related units to support the same patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Day (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preference
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Start date: November 20, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Current, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Willing to complete orientation assessments: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate (acceptable scores required)

Compliance & Screening

• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available)
• Background check and drug screening required
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Manager or supervisor reference from past 12 months required

Clinical Environment

You'll care for medical-surgical patients on telemetry monitoring, with opportunity to work across related units as needed. Orientation includes competency modules (average 6–15 hours, completed pre-start and annually).

Contract Terms

13-week assignment with potential for extension. Locals welcome.
