OR RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced OR RN for its operating room. This is a night shift role on a busy surgical unit that handles general, ENT, neuro, spine, orthopedic, and robotic cases—averaging 30 cases per day.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday–Sunday
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Call: Approximately 120 hours per contract, rotating with staff (30-minute response time)
• Floating: Only in cases of extreme need within Zone 1

Requirements

• Must have: Trauma and neuro experience (this is essential)
• Certification: BLS (AHA)
• License: Current RN license required
• Scrubbing: Yes, non-scrubbing roles available with charge nurse/house supervisor experience preferred

Team & Environment

• 2 OR techs per shift
• Charge nurse and house supervisor on-site
• Scrubs provided

Onboarding

• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Must be in state for orientation week (first-day modules may be remote)
• Submit valid driver's license; 60-mile radius from facility

Cancellation Policy

Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
