Emergency Department RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a 13-week contract assignment in a free-standing emergency setting. This is an evening/night shift role (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
Unit Details
You'll join a lean, collaborative team in the emergency department. The unit manages acute patient presentations requiring rapid assessment, stabilization, and care coordination. Common procedures include IV starts, 12-lead EKGs, and comprehensive patient assessments. The department is equipped with ventilators and point-of-care lab capabilities to support immediate diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekend Rotation: Required
Requirements
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- Less than 2 years of emergency department experience required
- Free-standing ED (FSED) experience preferred
- Comfort with IV placement and EKG interpretation
- BLS/ACLS certification
