RN – Med-Surg/Telemetry (Night Shift)

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN to deliver coordinated nursing care on a mixed medical-surgical and telemetry unit. You will supervise and direct nursing staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and apply critical thinking and professional judgment to drive patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36–48 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Supervise and coordinate duties of assigned nursing staff and healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary providers in a safe, healing environment.
• Provide patient and family education and health information.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California.
• Minimum two years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• Solid telemetry experience essential – this unit manages both medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients.
• BSN preferred.
