Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a 13-week contract. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules available.
About the Role
You will deliver coordinated nursing care to emergency patients across a range of acuities and presentations. You'll supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to drive safe, effective patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and monitoring patients using the nursing process
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Providing patient and family education
- Participating in discharge planning and care coordination
- Delegating appropriately and supporting team members
Requirements
- License: Current RN licensure in California
- Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Certifications: Current BLS/CPR, AHA-ACLS (or ARC-ALS), AHA-PALS (or ARC-PALS), and AHA-NRP (or ARC-NALS)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
