Registered Nurse – Night Shift ICU
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its ICU on a night shift schedule. You will deliver coordinated, high-acuity patient care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36/48 block schedule (36 hours guaranteed per week)
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a group of ICU patients using the nursing process and critical thinking
- Assess patient health data, identify care issues, and develop individualized care plans
- Implement interventions, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team
- Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning
- Delegate and coordinate team duties appropriately
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior ICU experience
