Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for a mixed medical-surgical and telemetry patient population. You'll supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate across disciplines, and apply critical thinking to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift
- 36–48 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to inform diagnoses and care planning
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with prescribed interventions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies as needed
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing staff and team members
- Coordinate care delivery with patients, families, and interdisciplinary providers
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Strong telemetry experience required (these are mixed MS/Tele units)
- BSN preferred
