Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for patients on mixed medical-surgical and telemetry units. You will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 36–48 per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 2, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to identify diagnoses and care needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Supervise and coordinate duties of nursing staff members
- Provide patient and family education and support discharge planning
- Delegate appropriately and promote a safe, healing environment
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to cardiac changes
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Strong telemetry experience (essential for these mixed medical-surgical/telemetry units)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- BSN preferred
Organizational Requirements
All staff must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical and religious exemptions apply).
