Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac and Vascular Radiologic Technologist to join the cardiovascular lab. You'll perform and assist with cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations, operating advanced imaging equipment to support physicians during diagnostic evaluation and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs during cardiac catheterization
- Position and immobilize patients using appropriate supports and safety protocols
- Assist physicians with specialized cardiovascular procedures
- Manage contrast medium administration and fluoroscopy/cinefluorography imaging
- Enter technical parameters into the computer and adjust equipment per protocol
- Communicate clearly with patients throughout procedures
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or equivalent in radiologic technology; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum two years recent experience in cath lab or special procedures
- Current state RT (Radiologic Technologist) license required
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from approved vendor required
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
Schedule & Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Call: Every other weekend; two weeknights per week (details provided at interview)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Location: Montebello, CA
