ICU Registered Nurse | Bakersfield, CA | Day Shift
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Bakersfield, California. This is a day shift position running 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with 36–48 hours guaranteed per week.
Unit Overview
You'll be working in an acute care ICU environment, managing high-acuity patients requiring complex critical care interventions. Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, supervising nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and facilitating discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour weeks possible)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Anticipated Start: November 16, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in California (or compact equivalent)
- BLS certification (AHA-approved)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care/ICU experience
- Proficiency with electronic health records required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in a critical care setting
