Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on an evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Clinical Responsibilities
You will deliver coordinated nursing care to patients presenting across the full spectrum of emergency conditions. Your role includes:
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments and developing individualized care plans
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide timely, evidence-based care
- Supervising and directing nursing staff at various levels
- Participating in discharge planning and patient education
- Utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ensuring safe, compassionate patient care in a healing environment
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California (required)
- Minimum two years recent acute care nursing experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – BSN (preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an AHA or ARC-approved vendor (required)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification (required)
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification (required)
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification (required)
Additional Information
Start times may vary (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM). Shift options include 36- or 48-hour weekly schedules. All associates must meet vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
