This Labor & Delivery unit is a high-volume maternity care service with a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered practice, including maintaining a lower-than-average cesarean section rate. The team supports a robust birth volume, making this an excellent placement for experienced L&D nurses seeking a clinically rich environment.
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour rotating days/nights, 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly (exclusive of any on-call time)
- Schedule includes every other weekend
- Float: Not required
- Anticipated start: November 2026
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
- BLS and ACLS (current)
- NRP certification
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Travel nursing experience a plus
- Candidates must have been separated from the BILH system for at least 6 months prior to consideration
Clinical Scope
Nurses will manage antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum patients, supporting vaginal and operative deliveries in a setting that prioritizes low-intervention approaches when clinically appropriate. Strong assessment skills and comfort with high-acuity obstetric situations are essential.
