Shift: Days, 3×12-Hour (07:00–19:30)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Unit

This fast-paced Telemetry unit cares for adult and geriatric patients across a broad range of cardiac, neurological, surgical, and medical diagnoses. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services.

Clinical scope includes:

• Cardiac telemetry and remote monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• CVA, traumatic brain injury, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, aneurysm care
• Pre/post cardiac cath, post-MI, pre/post cardiac surgery, post cardiac angiogram
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip management (no titration), heparin and IV insulin protocols
• BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tube management
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care; blood product administration
• Total joint replacement, ortho trauma, traction, skin grafts, wound care/wound vac
• Renal failure, pre/post hemodialysis management, continuous bladder irrigation
• Substance withdrawal, PCA management, thrombolytic agents

Scheduling & Float

• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle (Friday, Saturday, Sunday qualify)
• At least one holiday shift, including the holiday weekend
• Float required at or below skillset across the system; may include other campuses

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (Temp or Perm) in hand at time of submittal
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent Telemetry experience
• Prior travel experience required
• No locals within 100-mile radius
