Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Columbia, SC
13-Week Travel Contract | 4x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
This opportunity is on an Accountable Care Unit (ACU) that serves adult and geriatric patients requiring inpatient nursing care, monitoring, and management — including pre- and post-surgical patients and those with complex medical diagnoses. The unit operates under a collaborative, multidisciplinary model with shared accountability across nursing, physician, and support teams.
Shift & Scheduling
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 or 48 hours/week)
- Weekend coverage required
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Clinical Requirements
- Strong Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience; prior charge experience preferred
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a comparable unit
Float Policy
Agency staff are expected to float to other units or campuses based on census needs. Floating is limited to areas where the clinician has demonstrated and documented competencies.
Additional Details
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
- Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
- Orientation takes place on Mondays
- Minimum 100-mile distance from all system facilities required for standard eligibility (distance exceptions apply for night shift on this specialty)
- Extension beyond three consecutive 13-week contracts is not permitted without a minimum six-month separation
