Stepdown/Immediate Care RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit on night shift. You'll provide care to a mixed patient population, with many post-cardiac-surgery and interventional cardiology patients, alongside medical/surgical cases. Patient acuity varies, and you'll work independently while maintaining high clinical standards.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekdays with some weekend coverage
• Weekend block schedules considered

• Orientation every other Monday; limited holiday time-off requests accepted

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (WV or Compact)
• 1.5–2+ years RN experience
• 1 year Medical/Telemetry experience
• 2 years Stepdown or progressive care experience
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Ability to interpret cardiac strips and dysrhythmias
• IV start and telemetry proficiency

Clinical Scope

You'll manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips (non-titrating), vasoactive medications, central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, post-cardiac-catheterization care, tracheostomy care, wound management, and procedural sedation monitoring. You'll coordinate with IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Contract Details

• 13 weeks with possible extension
• Start: ASAP
• Burgundy and/or white scrubs required (not provided)
