Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV

13-Week Travel Contract | 4x12 Nights (19:00–07:00)

The facility's Med-Surg unit provides care for adult patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit operates with telemetry capability and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. Clinical nurse coordinators lead each shift, conducting daily huddles and managing patient flow.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekday and weekend coverage required; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Start date: ASAP | 13-week contract with extension potential

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be AHA-issued)
• West Virginia RN license or Compact license required (pending accepted at submission)

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Travel experience not required
• Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills Expected

• Telemetry interpretation and remote monitoring
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Chest tube, tracheostomy, and surgical drain management
• ABG interpretation, CVA management, and wound/wound vac care
• Pre/post cardiac cath and hemodialysis management

• Scrubs: Not provided
• Orientation: 12 hours (held every other Monday)
• Attendance expectations are strictly enforced; candidates should be aware that excessive call-offs may impact contract standing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
