Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV | 13-Week Contract

This acute care Medical-Surgical unit manages adult patients across a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The team is well-supported, with interdisciplinary resources including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, phlebotomy, and radiology.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00); 3x12 also considered
• Weekday and weekend availability required
• Schedule requests are not guaranteed but the unit will make reasonable efforts to accommodate

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks | Start: ASAP | Extension possible
• Attendance: No more than 2–3 call-offs will be tolerated per contract

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all AHA-issued)

Licensure

• West Virginia or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility

Clinical Skills & Patient Population

• Adult patients with diverse acute medical-surgical diagnoses
• Key competencies include: tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway management (BiPAP/CPAP), blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, PICC and peripheral line management, chest tube management, wound care/wound vac, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pre/post hemodialysis care, TBI, CVA, renal failure, substance withdrawal, and total joint/ortho cases

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• No travel experience required
