OR Tech / Surgical Tech – Cardiovascular & General Surgery
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced OR Tech/Surgical Tech to join a busy surgical department. You'll scrub, circulate, and document across a diverse range of cases in a 14-room operating suite averaging 25 cases daily.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, weekdays
- On-Call: Occasional weeknight call (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); one weekend per month call only (Saturday through 11:00 PM Sunday)
- No floating required
- Guaranteed hours: 32–40 per week
- Orientation: Every other week on Monday
Requirements
- 2+ years OR Tech/Surgical Tech experience (CV surgery is required; first-time travelers accepted with demonstrated CV scrubbing experience)
- Must scrub competently in:
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, coronary artery bypass graft, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window
- General, endoscopic/laparoscopic, and thoracic cases
- Preferred: vascular, urology, orthopedic/total joint, and robotic-assisted procedures
- Certifications: NBSTSA, BLS
- License: Active WV or Compact OR Tech license (pending accepted for submission)
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only; October 1 – March 31)

You'll work in a dynamic surgical environment managing adult and geriatric patients across general, vascular, cardiac, thoracic, and orthopedic specialties. Fast-paced, collaborative setting with robust interdisciplinary support.
