Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Charleston, WV

This 13-week day-shift contract places you on an active med-surg telemetry unit managing cardiac, vascular, surgical, and pulmonary patients. The unit sees a diverse, moderate-to-high acuity population with continuous telemetry monitoring throughout.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Float within scope of practice possible

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year in med-surg or telemetry specialty
• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA-issued)
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Additional Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Orientation: Every other Thursday (approximately 16 hours)
• Scrub color: Royal Blue or White
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption accepted with documented allergist or physician record
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Free parking provided
• Time-off requests must be noted at time of submission and discussed with the manager during interview

First-time travelers are welcome provided experience requirements are met. All certifications must be AHA-issued and listed on your application at time of submission.
