Night Shift Psychiatric Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks a compassionate and experienced psychiatric nurse for its behavioral health unit. You'll provide direct patient care, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (nights)
- Schedule: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Call: No call required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week
Requirements
- Current RN license (verified via Nursys)
- Professional references and background clearance
- Standard onboarding immunizations and health screening (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening, and 2-step PPD or IGRA)
- CPR/ACLS certification (EPLS required)
- Ability to complete facility-specific competencies, including EKG and electronic health record training
What to Expect
You'll work with psychiatric and behavioral health patients in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include patient safety, de-escalation, medication administration, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Scrubs are ceil blue.
