Staff RN – Med/Surg

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Staff RN for its medical-surgical unit. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and play a key role in delivering direct patient care and supporting your team.

What You'll Do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge.
• Document nursing care thoroughly, accurately, and legibly.
• Communicate pertinent patient observations and status changes to physicians.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Direct and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers as appropriate.
• Manage multiple priorities and respond calmly to urgent situations.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice in Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and make independent decisions.
• Solid critical thinking and organizational abilities.

Physical Demands

• Frequent patient handling; ability to exert 50–100 pounds occasionally and 25–50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout shifts.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Location: Lancaster, OH
