CCU Registered Nurse – Night Shift | Long Beach, CA

Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Unit

Clinical Skills & Procedures

Candidates should be proficient in:

• Ventilator management, arterial line and central line care
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
• Hemodynamic monitoring (PA/Swan-Ganz, Impella, IABP, FloTrac/Vigileo)
• CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, ICP monitoring, and EVD management
• Pre/post cardiac cath and intervention, procedural sedation
• Hypothermia protocol, IV insulin protocols, ABG interpretation
• Post-neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
• Active California RN license in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; CCRN preferred
• EKG exam required; previous charge experience preferred
• Float requirement: ICU, PCU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and ED holding

Scheduling & Availability

• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Self-scheduling
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Orientation: Approximately 12 hours, including required module completion
