Emergency Department RN – Day Shift

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour days: 07:00–19:30
• 13-week contract
• Weekend shifts as needed per department census
• No on-call required
• No floating

Experience & Certifications Required

• Minimum 2.5 years in a Level II trauma center with high-volume ER experience (90K+ annual visits)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification
• California RN license in hand
• 1 reference within the past 2 years

The Role

Clinical Scope

• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and IV vasopressors
• Administer blood products and procedural sedation
• Care for ventilated patients, including ICP monitoring
• Handle trauma cases (head injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, amputation)
• Stroke and STEMI assessment and management
• Interpret ABGs and manage dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with respiratory services, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted at time of application
