PACU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at the facility in Decatur, GA. You'll provide direct care to post-operative patients in a fast-paced recovery environment, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and supporting patients through their immediate post-surgical phase.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 4 × 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- 13-week contract
- Start date: December 7, 2026
Requirements
- Current RN licensure (Georgia)
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience
- ACLS certification required
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in a high-turnover environment
What You'll Do
Care for patients emerging from anesthesia and recovering from surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include:
- Continuous monitoring of airway, breathing, circulation, and consciousness
- Pain and nausea management
- Wound and drain assessment
- Patient and family communication and education
- Documentation and hand-off to receiving units
