Emergency Department RN
Position Overview
Join a high-volume emergency department managing 275+ daily visits across 60 rooms. You'll deliver care to a diverse patient population—adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients—with complex medical needs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Clinical Scope
This comprehensive cardiac center receives STEMI and stroke patients, manages acute behavioral health cases, and handles the full spectrum of emergency medicine. Patient conditions include sepsis, acute coronary syndromes, cerebrovascular events, trauma, respiratory emergencies, toxicology cases, psychiatric holds, and multi-system organ dysfunction.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: Midday, 3 shifts per week (14:00 – 02:30)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend; may exceed to meet unit needs
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Ratio: 4 patients per shift
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience within the past 12 months (hard requirement)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS
- Valid state/compact license at time of submission
- Ability to float to nearby facilities as needed
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
