CVOR Certified Surgical Technician
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a CVOR Certified Surgical Technician for a 13-week contract in a cardiothoracic operating room. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) on a 4x10 schedule, scrubbing open heart and vascular surgeries, including wired vascular cases.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent CVOR experience
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Permanent Ohio license or compact license (must be in hand at submission)
- One professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in your specialty, from work within the past 12 months
On-Call Expectations
- 1–2 weekday call shifts per week (end of shift until 7:00 AM)
- 1 weekend call every 6 weeks (24-hour Saturday and Sunday commitment)
- 1 working shift every 6 weeks, typically coordinated with weekend call
- Potential holiday call rotation as needed
Additional Information
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; acceptable scores required to continue
- Background check reviewed; no open cases or license issues accepted
- Contract may be extended for up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows
