Perioperative & PACU Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract in the perioperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). You'll work day shifts supporting multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced OR environment.

Schedule & Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Dress Code: Facility-provided scrubs
• On-Call: 8-hour days as needed; weekend/holiday coverage required
• Float Assignment: Will float to affiliated surgical centers as needed
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR/pre-op nursing experience
• Phase I and II PACU experience required
• Proficiency with sedation, critical drips, and telemetry interpretation
• Ability to prepare OR and patients for surgery
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties
• Must own a personal vehicle for commute

Required Credentials & Documentation

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Active BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Active ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Current PACU skills documentation (within 1 year)
• Current Pre/Peri-Op skills documentation (within 1 year)
• Supervisory reference from employment within past 2 years
• Permanent address required for processing
