Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for night shifts in Akron, OH. This is a 13-week contract role working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).

Requirements

• Current, active RN license (Ohio permanent or compact state license in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 12 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from work in the past 12 months

What to Expect

You'll provide care to med/surg telemetry patients on the night shift, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing acute patient needs. During orientation, you'll complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments (two attempts to pass each). Annual competency requirements apply for continuous contracts.

Pre-Employment

• Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprinting (within 48 hours of contract signing)
• Drug screen (10-panel + nicotine) within 12 months of start, renewed annually
• No open background cases or license hits accepted

Contract Terms

• 13-week assignment
• Extensions available up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this healthcare system for 1 year after previous assignment end date
