Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing care to patients on telemetry monitoring in a fast-paced med/surg environment.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license (Ohio or compact state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 12 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications (required at submission; NIHSS preferred)
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from the past 12 months
- Negative 10-panel drug screen (completed within 12 months of start)
- BCI/FBI background check (must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
- Willingness to complete facility-required orientation modules and competency assessments
What to Expect
You will monitor and care for medical and surgical telemetry patients, performing ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration. During orientation, you'll complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate assessment—both must be passed on first or second attempt.
If you remain on a continuous contract for one year or longer, you may be required to complete annual hands-on competency training as part of ongoing compliance.
