ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse to join its critical care team. This is a 13-week contract running 36 guaranteed hours per week on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience required
- Current RN license (verification via Nursys)
- ACLS certification
- Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON Gold)
- Fit testing and drug screen required at onboarding
The Role
You'll work in a high-acuity ICU managing a diverse patient population including:
- Post-operative cardiac surgery (TAVR, CABG, CEA)
- Critical neurological events (CVA, stroke thrombolysis)
- Respiratory support (mechanical ventilation, HFNC, respiratory failure)
- Hemodynamic support (IABP, Impella, inotropes)
- Advanced therapies (CRRT, TTM, sepsis management)
- Additional acute conditions (DKA, GIB, ia, shock states)
Flexibility
You must be able to float between ICU and Step Down units within the critical care service line as needed.
