Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Los Angeles, CA

Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13-Week Contract

This busy Labor & Delivery unit manages both low- and high-risk patients across , LDR, OR, NICU, and postpartum care. Around-the-clock OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support is available. First-time travelers are welcome.

Schedule & On-Call

• 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday)
• If scheduled 4 shifts/week: no on-call required
• If scheduled 3 shifts/week: 1 on-call shift per 2 weeks

Required Clinical Skills

• Sterile vaginal exams (recent, hands-on experience required)
• High-risk obstetric patient management
• CMQCC Category II algorithm knowledge
• Advanced fetal monitoring — recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• External fetal monitoring
• Circulating for C-sections

Patient Population

Neonates, adolescents, and adults across low- and high-risk L&D settings

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• NRP
• AWHONN Advanced

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of L&D experience
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Pre-Start Requirements

• Advanced EKG exam (onsite, 80% passing score; two attempts permitted)
• Completion of required specialty modules prior to start
• References required at submission

Additional Notes

• Maximum 3 days RTO per contract; no RTO during first two weeks
• Holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed
• Smoke/nicotine-free facility; arrive free of tobacco odor
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
