Med/Surg Travel Nurse — Night Shift | Greensburg, PA

13-Week Contract | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12)

This med/surg unit manages a mixed medical non-monitored patient population across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The unit's clinical focus includes post-operative care for joint replacement, bariatric/weight loss surgery, and general surgery patients, alongside complex medical diagnoses such as renal failure, dysrhythmias, substance withdrawal, traumatic brain injury, and mood disorders.

Clinical Skills Required:

• Port access, central line blood draw, PICC line management
• Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, surgical drains
• BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management
• Peritoneal dialysis/CAPD, pre/post hemodialysis management
• Colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube management
• Blood product administration, PCA, heparin, insulin management
• Wound care/wound vac, peripheral nerve block catheters

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and radiology.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts

• 4 weekend shifts required per contract
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required
• Non-local candidates only (must reside 50+ miles from facility)

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license (in hand at submission)
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
